The owner captured the whole situation and, on May 27, took to Instagram to share the hilarious video through the cat’s official account @therealslimshady_cat. The clip showcased the charming fur baby, who suffers from obesity, focusing on treats rather than running on the treadmill. 
Rescue cat is focused on treats than working out in viral video
A video on Instagram featuring a rescued black cat named Slim has gone viral. The clip has garnered 12.9 million views and 624K likes on the social media platform as of now. It showcased the feline putting all its focus on relishing some treats instead of working out on a treadmill.
The cat parent wrote in the caption, “It’ll take some time,” referring to how the cat needed time to get accustomed to the exercise equipment. After that, the owner added, “but fr @olivergooseyboots is our inspiration!!” mentioning the cat who appears at the beginning of the video. The owner concluded the caption with “Black cat elite club!”
The Instagram video started by giving a look at the other cat, Oliver Goose, known as “The treadmill cat.” The feline was running with determination on a treadmill. Meanwhile, the text on the video read, “How I thought my obese 30lb cat would react to the treadmill.” After that, the video jumped to displaying the owner’s rescue cat, Slim. After stepping on the treadmill, the feline went on to enjoy some treats and then slipped off the treadmill in the most hilarious way possible.
