Lila – A Tiny Soul Who Still Can’t Believe She’s Safe. Lila is a Ukraine war dog in need of a safe haven. Available under a foster-to-adopt. Arriving in mid-June

LILA is a small, tender three-year-old girl, Chihuahua cross, who’s still trying to understand that warmth and kindness can be real.

Highlights:

SIZE: Small (37 cm shoulder height / 5–7 kg)
SPAYED: Yes
CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Quiet, trusting, very human-oriented, shy at first
DOGS: Friendly with other dogs
CATS: Friendly
CHILDREN: Older dog-savvy children 13+ only or adult home

Rescue Story:
Lila’s life before rescue was painfully bleak. She was found on a short chain in the dead of winter—no shelter, no warmth, no clean water. Just a tiny, cold wooden box and long, bitter nights. Her situation was so dire, the police had to be involved to intervene and remove her.

She survived not just physical hardship, but emotional neglect. And yet—miraculously—her heart stayed soft. When her rescuers arrived, she didn’t growl or hide. She simply waited. Quiet, unsure, but hopeful.

Detailed Information:
LILA is very people-oriented—once she understands she’s safe, she wants nothing more than gentle strokes, sit on laps and to stay close by your side.

She still gets shy with strangers at first and she may need a little time to build trust—but she’s never shown any aggression, only quiet fear. Once she knows you, she’ll never leave your side.

She’s clean in the house, calm indoors, and affectionate in the softest way. It seems she still doesn’t quite believe her luck, as if waiting for it all to disappear. But she’s learning, day by day, that this is real.

Ideal Family:
LILA would flourish in a calm, loving home where her soft soul will be cherished. A peaceful environment with patient people, a kind resident dog or gentle companionship, and no pressure to be perfect.

She’ll need time to adjust—but once she does, her loyalty and love will be boundless.

We recommend an adult-only home or a home with gentle, dog-savvy children aged 13+, as may have been mistreated by younger kids in her past. No aggression, but a fear in eyes.

Health Information:
Lila is fully healthy. Spayed. Has all core vaccines done, microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before the trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).

RBU, post-adoption support, and 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance provided upon adoption.
