KLENA is everything one could wish for in a canine friend: affectionate, joyful, and full of life and love for every person she meets.
The moment she sees a human, her eyes light up, and she immediately comes closer for affection—she adores being cuddled and pampered, and she’ll happily spend hours curled up on your lap or tucked under a cosy blanket.
She lives peacefully in a foster home with other dogs, and truly loves the company of other dogs. She thrives in social settings and is most at ease when surrounded by both human and canine friends.
She’s a lively girl—very curious, very playful, and always ready to explore. At home, she loves her toys, enjoys burying herself under covers, and follows her people everywhere. She’s clever, trainable, and loves going out on walks—she walks well on the lead and is housetrained.
She hasn’t been tested with cats, but due to her high curiosity and playful energy, she may not suit a home with cats who prefer peace and quiet.
Rescue Story:
KLENA was found at the beginning of winter, curled up in a pile of fallen maple leaves—cold, exhausted, and trying to protect her tiny puppy. She had no shelter, no food, and no one looking out for her. Just her and her little one, clinging to life beneath a blanket of golden leaves.
Thankfully, kind hearts intervened just in time. Her puppy was rehomed safely, and now it’s Klena’s turn to find the loving family she has always deserved.
Her name, Klena, means “Maple” in Ukrainian—a quiet tribute to the place she was found and the hope that bloomed in the face of winter.
Ideal Family:
KLENA is looking for an active, warm, and playful family. She would be happiest in a home with the other playful friendly dog and where someone is around most of the time, as she’s highly people-oriented and doesn’t like to be left alone.
A friendly resident dog would be perfect for her—she absolutely loves canine company and gains confidence from it. She’d do very well with gentle, dog-savvy children, and would thrive in a home that appreciates her bubbly energy and loving nature.
Health Information:
KLENA is fully healthy. Spayed. Has all core vaccines done, microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before the trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
