The mortar-less walls of Cosa, a Roman ruin near Ansedonia.

Well, lots to tell! A brilliant sun, lovely sea and several really good cooks were only part of mama’s family reunion near Ansedonia, Italy and there were ruins nearby from a Roman colony that used Etruscan slave labor to construct 20-foot walls of stone with NO mortar!

Mama’s moving pretty fast today and besides, it’s wordless Wednesday, so we’re taking a little unpacking, filling the larder, weeding the garden, washing the clothes day. Back tomorrow with photos and FUN!

And thanks to all of you who had a nice little rest from my ramblings, haha.
