Please meet the wonderful Winter – a 7 year old male Alaskan Malamute who is as stunning as he is massive. This majestic lad was rescued from the horrors of the Chinese meat market by Harbin Rescue and brought to the UK to finally find his forever home.
He’s had a rough past, but he’s got nothing but love to give and is ready to live his best life.
Winter was saved from the Chinese meat market by Harbin Rescue. Yes, dogs are food in China. If you don’t know, the meat markets are absolutely evil and the treatment the dogs get and the things they have seen is nothing short of hell.
Winter is one of the lucky ones and has come to us in the UK to find his forever home. If you are not aware, there are no animal welfare laws in China, so no dog is ever safe there, which is why the dogs are sent overseas to be rehomed, to make sure they are safe and loved for life!
Winter is HUGE. I am used to big dogs but this lad really shocked me. He isn’t overweight, just a very sturdy big boy!
Winter is a typical Malamute in most ways—he is aloof and likes to be left to his own devices most of the time and loves being outside, so a large outdoor space for him to relax in is a must. He is also a big goofy clown when the mood takes him, and he loves to play chase with you!
Winter is testament to everything dog. Despite where he has come from, he shows nothing but love and loves to give you a bear hug when you come into the room.
He is a wonderful lad and it breaks my heart when I think of what could have happened to him if Harbin hadn’t rescued him from the meat truck that day.
Winter is a wonderful dog, and I absolutely adore him! He is just a happy guy, always smiling and always ready to please you—a very laid-back boy. Winter will need an adopter with knowledge of the breed or similar breeds.
He is a big strong boy and their coat needs a lot of grooming. They require a lot of space and moderate exercise. Given the chance, Winter would live outside; however, he is now partial to the sofa!
Winter will make a very rewarding addition to his new family. He is absolutely adorable—I mean, just look at him, gorgeous inside and out! Winter loves a run around the fields.
He will also happily have a steady lead walk. He is an amazing dog and will be a best friend to anyone who is lucky enough to adopt him.
Winter is house trained, walks well on the lead, is not destructive, and can be left for short periods. Winter could live with children age 13 years plus. He hasn’t got a bad bone in him, but he is big and can be boisterous.
Winter is a social lad, so could live with other dogs or would be equally happy as the only dog!
Winter travels very well in the car. Whoever adopts this little beauty will be very lucky indeed, as he really has the most amazing, well-adjusted nature and such a beautiful face.
Winter is neutered, microchipped, de-flea and wormed, and vaccinated.
Can you offer this beautiful lad the retirement home he so desperately deserves?
