Chicle is a 3 year old male Breton.
Our little star of the shelter Chicle (pronounced as Cheeclay), was collected by the municipal pound when found abandoned – he was most likely a hunting dog. Chicle wasn’t enjoying pound life at all, and so we made every effort to get him out.
Since arriving in our care, he has flourished and loves everybody – adults, children and all of the other dogs. He loves to go out for walks, and really enjoys scentwork and playing with all of his shelter friends.
Chicle is a lesser-spotted miracle Breton who is obedient and comes when you call him! However, it goes without saying that recall must be established before allowing any dog off lead as recall also very much depends on environmental triggers.
Chicle is not good with the hens at the shelter and this should be considered when applying to adopt.
Chicle is a Breton and was a working dog – please research the breed-specific needs of the Breton/Brittany before applying. Please contact us if you would like to apply to adopt.
All of our dogs have an international passport (unless born in the UK) and are microchipped. They are fully vaccinated for standard diseases as well as rabies and kennel cough.
All dogs are blood tested for infectious diseases including Leishmaniasis, Dirofilaria, Ehrlichia, Babesia, Anaplasma, Lyme and Brucella. All dogs, unless there are medical or behavioural reasons to not do so, will be sterilised.
Chicle is neutered. Please note that we will advise results and treatments upon successful application.
Adoption contract and fee, homecheck and lifetime RBU (rescue back-up) apply as standard.
