Freckles is a 2 year old male Breton.

Freckles was one of the dogs left without hope at a rural pound, a place where discarded hunting dogs are the norm.

The poor little thing was terrified and just hid at the back of his cage, waiting for everybody to leave him alone – what he has been through we can only imagine.

We couldn’t leave him there and thankfully we managed to place him under our care at our Spanish shelter. He has now recently arrived into a UK foster home where he is progressing well and adjusting to his new life.

Freckles is such a sweet little Breton. He was very good with all the dogs at the shelter and is great with both adults and children (over 8 please only for adoption).

He is an active dog who loves his walks, but he always waited patiently in his kennel to go out, and is quite the gentleman! Freckles is very affectionate with people, and loves to jump up for attention.

He is a great all-rounder who will make the most wonderful family dog. Freckles could be an only dog or be homed with a resident dog.

He is starting to flourish in his new foster home and gets on well with the other dogs. He was however, not good with the shelter hens, and he likes to chase cats so please bear this in mind if you have cats, birds or small furries.

Freckles is a Breton – please research the breed-specific needs of the Breton/Brittany before applying. Please contact us if you would like to apply to adopt.

All of our dogs have an international passport (unless born in the UK) and are microchipped. They are fully vaccinated for standard diseases as well as rabies and kennel cough.

All dogs are blood tested for infectious diseases including Leishmaniasis, Dirofilaria, Ehrlichia, Babesia, Anaplasma, Lyme, and Brucella. All dogs, unless there are medical or behavioural reasons to not do so, will be sterilised. Deirdre is spayed.

Please note that we will advise results and treatments upon successful application.

Adoption contract and fee, homecheck, and lifetime RBU (rescue back-up) apply as standard.
